The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead
The Royal borough if Windsor and Maidenhead is the Council that covers most of the village of Knowl Hill. The border between RBWM and Wokingham Borough Council runs up Star Lane at the western end of the village.
Hurley Parish Council
Hurley Parish Council is the elected civic parish council which covers Hurley, Warren row, Burchetts Green, cockle Green, Knowl Hill and Littlewick Green.
There are 10 councillors, four representing the North ward of the parish (Hurley and Burchetts Green) and six representing the South Ward which cover the remainder of the parish. Meeting are held on the third Thursday of each month at locations across the two wards to ensure that all residents have easy access to the council.
Knowl Hill Church of England Primary School
Knowl Hill Church of England Primary School has been serving the community since 1846. The school was originally established to educate local children but now welcomes pupils and their families for further afield as well.
As a Church of England school, we emphasise Christian values and expect everyone in out school to retake one another with kindness and respect. We admit and welcome pupils from all backgrounds.
Knowl Hill Village Hall
Knowl Hill Village Hall
Knowl Hill Village Hall is an attractive, medium sized hall with ample parking on the A4 between Maidenhead and Reading. It has a large main hall a smaller committee room and a recently refurbished kitchen.
The hall hosts many activities including Guides, Women's institute, Bowls Club, Badminton Club, dog clubs including puppy training and ring craft, a sewing club and an organ club.
West London Aero Club
Knowl Hill lies in a noise abatement zone which means that light aircraft flying from West London Aero Club should avoid the village with taking off and circuiting.
If you find noise levels a problem due to aircraft flying over the village you can make a complaint to the airfield. The number to call to make a complaint is 01628 823272.
Complaints are recorded and reported on twice a year at the WLAC Consultative Committee meetings. This is a voluntary group comprising representatives from the airfield and from the surrounding villages. Cllr. Maureen Hunt also attends the meetings. St. Peter's Church, Knowl Hill
The Church of St. Peter is located beside the busy A4 "Bath Road" in the village of Knowl Hill. It dates from mid-victorian times and its original parish was created partly out of Wargrave and partly out of Hurley Parishes. After a period of being linked with Littlewick Green is was reunited with Wargrave and now has the status of a second Parish Church in the united Parish. The work of St Peter's is concentrated on a single Sunday service twice a month.
